BHS Bomb Threat, 4/11

Dear Members of the Belmont Public Schools Community:

Today, April 11th, at approximately 7:50AM an automated bomb threat was called into the Belmont High School main office.  No specific time or location was stated.  It has been determined to be a low level threat.

As a result, the Belmont Police and Fire Departments have been notified and are on site.  Given that surrounding communities have received similar calls, a determination, by using our emergency protocol, was to place all students, faculty and staff in a shelter in place. During this time, there will be an internal and external sweep of the building. Upon conclusion of this sweep, I will be communicating to the Belmont community the next steps.

Sincerely,

Mr. Dan Richards

Principal

Mr. John Phelan

Superintendent
