Eleven gift baskets and three bicycles later, all sent to our “snowflake family” struggling with critical illness, we’d like to say thank you to all of the families who bought snowflakes and/or made separate donations for this annual BHS holiday activity.
We would be remiss if we didn’t also thank Walmart in Saugus, which sold us 3 fully-assembled bikes at the very reduced price of $50 each and Harvard Vanguard in Watertown, which donated three new bike helmets to keep the young riders safe.
Finally, I would like to thank the staff members who made special donations, Ms. Kelly Prevost for masterminding our bike success, and Mr. John Sullivan (Special Ed) who transported in his truck all 11 baskets, 3 bikes, and me to Dorchester for the drop-off at Community Servings’ “Basket Central”.
Thanks so much for supporting the family, the project, and our students.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and may 2015 bring health, joy, fulfillment, and peace to everyone.
