On Tuesday, February 25, Belmont High School students Ashley Townsend and Naria Sealy visited BASEC @ Burbank after school to kick off a volunteer reading program. Their first selection was If a Bus Could Talk; The Story of Rosa Parks, supporting BASEC’s Black History Month curriculum. Ashley and Naria hooked the listeners with their enthusiastic reading–they even acted out many of the parts to really engage the audience! BASEC students look forward to their weekly reads with Ashley and Naria.
