BHS Transition

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This letter is to inform you that Mr. David Smokler has resigned from his position as assistant principal of Belmont High School. I want to thank Mr. Smokler for his past year of service to Belmont High School and the community.

During Mr. Smokler’s absence, Mr. Jim Brown, Belmont High School’s Lead Guidance Counselor, has been serving as the interim assistant principal for grades 10 and 12. I am appointing Mr. Brown as acting assistant principal for the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year. I have every confidence that he will serve our school community well in his new interim role.

Ms. Jenny Guellnitz, who has been assigned Mr. Brown’s guidance duties for the past month, will remain in her position as guidance counselor. Ms. Guellnitz has proven to be an asset to the department and has established positive relationships with students, faculty, staff and families.  Her transition to Mr. Brown’s position is more than welcomed and will prove to be seamless.

Thank you for your patience during this transition.

Sincerely,

Daniel E. Richards, M.Ed., M.M.

Principal
